耐火性
FIRE RESISTANCE木材在燃燒時,表 面會形成一層碳,而木材的切面要是超過一定尺寸這層碳反而會變成阻隔層,保護內部的木材不再燃燒。

南洋櫸木
SHOREA ASTYLOSA邊材為黃色,透明樹脂會滲出。心材為黃色,依樹種亦有赤色之紅色,在大氣下呈現暗褐色。木肌稍精均齊 木理甚交錯,有時有波狀或捲縮紋 木材重硬或極重硬,對於白蟻抵抗性強,且強度非常大,其較柚木大約1.5倍。接地處耐久性可長達10至20年,穩定性高,不易龜裂。

北美黃檜
CUPRESSACEAE邊心材區別不明顯,心材呈黃色,邊材為淡黃色至白色,木紋理通直、細緻。木材本身具有優越的強度與耐損性,以及良好的耐衝擊性,只要不使用邊材其耐腐性已高達不需做防腐處理的程度。經乾燥處理後,就能保持穩定且收縮率極小。承受與固定鐵釘及螺絲時不易裂開,膠合能力尚佳。加工容易,無論手動或機械式工具都能容易達到平整的成品表面外觀,且表面砂磨後有光澤。

越南檜木
FOKIENIA HODGINSII邊材淺黃褐色或灰黃褐色,心材黃褐或淺紅褐色,紋理勻直,年輪明顯。優點為質輕、結構細,加工容易且乾燥後尺寸安定性與耐久性良好,且木材本身具有柏木香氣,味苦,觸之有油質感。耐腐抗蟻性佳。強度中等,切削、塗裝及膠合各工項性質亦佳,不易劈裂。但切面光滑,油漆性欠佳。

美西側柏/香杉
KONISHI-FIR邊材狹窄幾乎是純白色,心材的顏色變化由暗紅棕色到淡黃色。本身具有強烈的氣味而別名香杉,精油中含有洋杉醇、B-丁香油精等成分,具有抑菌的效果。因此可保護木材免受蟲害與自然腐敗的侵蝕。木理通直,木肌細緻,材質較杉木緻密,穩定性高,不易彎曲、變形及 產生裂縫。擁有極低的收縮率可不受天氣影響且密度低、特殊的細胞結構讓香杉的絕緣性高於其他木材。

框組壁式
COMBINATION METHOD木框架系統的抗震原因除了材料本身柔韌於其他材料,也因為建築構件細小、尺寸規範、間隔緊密;可達到吸收並消散能量的作用。將木材以線狀組構成框架,再配合斜撐或面板組構成抵抗水平力的承重牆體,使垂直載重或水平力可由剪力牆傳遞至基礎。
